New domain coming soon!

I’m seriously thinking of moving to a new domain in the new year. I have had the domain creamed-coconut.org for about four-and-a-half years now, and I feel like I want to start afresh. I would still keep this domain and all my existing blog entries though (I’d never want to delete them all; they are part of my history).

I would update the new site regularly and ensure it had new and exciting content and more features. I will start working on it over the course of the next 2-and-a-half months, and then make it available on 1st January 2009.

The only other thing I need to do is decide on a name for the new site. You will see that to the right of this post there is a poll containing a list of the possible names I’ve thought of this evening. I hope you will vote for your favourite option. :)

  1. Oh, I wouldn’t be able to give up my domain. I’d be so sad that someone else might buy it xD But anyway, I can understand why such an old domain starts to bore you slightly. I’ll vote before I leave. First I’ll have to check out your site. I really adore the layout.

Thank you for the comment on my site, by the way. I’m glad my article was helpful to you. It’s all based on personal eexpierience, so that I know it helps ;D If you come back at the end of the weekend, there might be more articles.

  2. I know what you mean about needing a change. I had my old domain (icydays.org) for over 4 years and then decided to start afresh. Only I haven’t really had any time to maintain my new domain so it’s kind of tiny. Oh well. I really like the name raw-element… but I really like all the names you picked out!

Sorry it took me a little bit to respond to your blog comment. I don’t know why someone would want to shut down my Facebook group. I guess because they don’t agree with it??

  3. Exactly. I used to make a lot of new scripts, but now i simply don’t have time for that anymore. I promised long time ago to make my blog and comment script available, but it takes a lot of time. :/

Good luck with your new domain. Hope you find the right name :D

  4. Starting fresh is always nice :) It’s always nice to look book through your websites a couple of years later and see how your ideas flowed into one another as you “start fresh.” There’s always hints of your past in new websites, which I love seeing and picking out.

Good luck with your website! All of the names you chose sound very serene.

  5. seems as if everyone wants to move their domain

  6. Ooh I will take a look and vote!

I’ve had SF forever too, haha. I often think about changing but never have the energy or heart to do it! So good luck and kudos to you! ;-)

Also, you can import all your old entries to your new site!!
