Where have I been all this time?!!

I know it’s been ages since I last blogged. I’m on my Easter holidays at the moment, but I’ve still got just as much work to do as before. But of course, as it’s the holidays, I’ve been doing other things as well.

Last week I went to the cinema to see Hitch, the new Will Smith film. It was good and quite funny. I also went to see my niece Anya’s school concert. This is her final concert, as in September she will move up to high school! She will be 11 years old this year. I can’t believe the time has gone so quickly – it doesn’t seem that long since she was a baby!

Last Friday we went to a local forest (Thetford Forest), and I took some photos there, but we haven’t had them developed yet. I was going to use my digital camera, but I realised at the last minute that the battery had ran out. The batteries didn’t last very long at all.

Last night I had the strangest dream ever! It makes me laugh to think of it. I dreamt that, for some reason or another, there was a tumble dryer or washing machine in my bedroom, and that I was unable to sleep because of the whirring noise it was making!! Don’t ask! You probably all think I am mad now! Oh well. It’s strange that I often have dreams about trying to get to sleep, or even dreams about having dreams, which can get very weird.

Eeeeeeek!!!!

I am still really busy with all my coursework and exam revision, but luckily the Easter holidays start tomorrow. Last week I found out the exact dates of all my exams, and they are all in May, which isn’t too bad, as I will have just over a month to revise.
There is so much pressure on us all to do well, and sometimes it can get quite annoying. For example, we are not allowed a dictionary in our Spanish reading exam, and many people in the class are finding the practice papers very hard. In Monday’s lesson, we were going through the practice papers, and most people were in a bad mood about how difficult the work is, so the atmosphere wasn’t very nice. However, we still had a laugh, as in the practice listening test, one of the phrases was “Tiene los ojos negros”. At the end, when we were marking the paper, the girl sitting next to me asked me what that phrase meant. So I told her it means, “He has black eyes”! That made us both laugh, as usually if you say someone has black eyes, it means they have been involved in a fight or something. I’ve heard of people having blue, brown, green or even grey eyes, but not black eyes!

And yes, I fell ill yet again, for like the 3rd time in the last 10 weeks. This time it was a cold, but luckily I didn’t need to take any time off, even though I felt quite awful, at least it’s not as bad as being physically sick. Thankfully, the cold seems to have disappeared now.

Today I met my friend Kay when I was on the bus home – which was a nice surprise, as I hadn’t seen her since my birthday last month. She was on the way to work, but she had enough time to go with me for a meal in McDonald’s.

Last Sunday my family and I went to London to see my niece Anya perform a dance routine at “Her Majesty’s Theatre”. As I’ve mentioned in the past, she is a member of an after-school dance club, and she’s quite good at it. So she was selected to perform in the capital along with children from other dance schools across the UK. We had a really good time, although we didn’t get back home until late, well after 2am in the morning – and I had to be up at 8am the next day because I had a 10am lecture! Eek! So I only had about 5 hours sleep. I ended up going to bed at 8pm the following evening!

Nothingness!!!

Nothing particularly exciting has happened in the last week, which explains my lack of updates, as there is nothing interesting to write about.

All I’ve been doing is working on my project, working on my coursework, revising for exams, trying to find a full-time job for the summer…

Oh well, Easter is on its way soon. But even during the holidays, I still won’t be able to escape from all the pressures mentioned above. But I try not to worry to much, as I know everyone else in my year group is going through the exact same thing.

Sorry for such a boring post, but I just wanted to let everyone know I’m still alive, lol !!
